New Car at JMR!

An existing customer brought in this new car this week for a health check and a few jobs. Only 47k miles on this 05 Avant Sport TDI.

In order to protect how the car looks at the moment we fitted front and rear parking sensors to it. You can hardly see that they are they as the new versions we are using are smaller and less visible.
Also re-gassed the air conditioning as it had never been done judging by the service history. There was only just enough gas left in it to make the system work. So much for having it done every two years…

Audi RS6

What a beast! Had one of these in this week for an ECU remap to get even more power from the V8.
Sorted out a few other issues at the same time and got the a/c working.

Silver Corrado VR6

For the last few days we have had a rarer beast in the workshop, in this shape of this Silver Corrado VR6 with not only the Schrick inlet manifold but also air conditioning. This combination means a serious lack of space under the bonnet!

This was in for a variety of different jobs and one that wasn’t planned, this being a new front subframe as the old one had rotted away. The picture shows it up on the ramps with the old and new subframes visible on the ground.

The a/c was also non operative when the car came into us, but now it is quite cool. A re-gas, or rather some gas, and fixing the stuck compressor clutch did the job.

VW Golf IV R32 Milltek

Tuesday we had a lovely MkIV R32 in the workshop for a Viezu remap, a pair of Milltek Sport cats and a non resonating exhaust system.

The crackle that you now get from the exhaust sends tingles down your spine, but at idle and in normal use it is very subdued

Audi Ur Quattro visits JMR

One of our customers brought down his other prized possession last week for a service.

This was in incredible condition, the interior being just like it came out of the showroom yesterday.

Wonderful car to see and work on.

Jaguar XK-R

We were very privileged to have this incredible car in the workshop.

This came in to have one of the Viezu remaps applied to it, but it didn’t stop there! Oh No!

It also had a Milltek cat-back system installed and a modified Supercharger pulley.

To say it is now a bit of a beast is an understatement…it looks and sounds like a monster going past!

…from a T2 back to normallity

July 1st 2011.

After a few days of knuckle-scraping with the T2, things are almost back to normal with a number of vehicles in at the moment, Corrado VR6, Audi A4 Cabriolet, an Audi A3 and an absolute fantastic A4 1.8T Quattro Sport.

Although this was about 6 years old it looked amazing as it appeared to have been recently detailed.

We had something different in this week (June 29th 2011) to our normal fare, a VW T2 which needed a clutch replaced, a bit of welding and carb setting up.

This was a nice example and the second T2 in 3 weeks! Is this stating a trend….

JMR Appointed as Viezu distributor

As of today (Tuesday 21st June 11), JMR are proud to announce that they have been appointed an official Viezu distributor, being able to offer the range of economy and performance remaps for all European makes of cars.
